11/18

Fun this morning, with swell filling in throughout the day. Real big and burly by around 4:15-30 when I went down to check it.

11/17 Pacheco Fair

Size has come down a bunch, SH, glassy, fairly nice out but cold, some fun rides out there, lots of people in the water. Pictures aren't the best examples of what's out there.

11/16 am Pacheco was awesome

Surfed with Scott and Carl, Willy did a back to back double session. Great wave shape, easy rampy entries with racy tubes and tons of fun. Super stoked. Still no wind and it's 11am.

11/15

Sloat with Sticker and Jeff. Everybody caught some good waves. Warmed up significantly with the sunrise. Waves were a little backoffish, around HH(little +) on sets, set waves spread out a bit. Paddle was kind of a bear for me, but others made it out with no problem. No one out when I left, just a couple of guys that looked pissy when I reminded them not to forget their coffee on their bumper. I hate it when I lose a coffee off the exterior of my car, but to each his own. Very little wind, shaping up to be a beautiful day.

11/14 South VFW's

Fun ones on the small side, maybe SH on sets. Hardly any wind around 4pm to sunset, tomorrow am might be fun. Peaky.

Sunset Quintara

Josh T's big day at Rockaway

Just pulled these off the camera when I synced.

11/13

Sticker and I went down to Rockaway early. Surf was marginal, but I managed to snag a few. Still good to be out in the water, nice morning. Lots of guys out at Kelly's right now, as well as Noriega. Seeing a few decent rides on the cam for Noriega. May be ok for tomorrow morning. Supposed to be more swell for Tuesday and Saturday if you're trying to plan.

Links added

Added a list of links, let me know what needs to be added or if it's even necessary. Swell size is up a notch, period is down, very light winds, & I'm just guessing(it's dark) in the SH-HH range and clean.

Are there any other page elements that would be helpful or any other functionality that would be useful?

Nov 12 w/Josh N, Drew, Dan H - by Carl

Little dawn patrol at OB. Swell on Friday 11/11 was NUTS - all of us looked, no one went in. Big posse drove south all the way to HMB, but nothing was surfable. Josh T had gotten in at Rockaway, but was a bit nuts there & no one else (from our crew) joined him.

Saturday was clearly going to be smaller & more surfable. No wind, no fog, cloudy but pretty fall day at OB. Sloat looked pretty good, bigger than expected - HH on the sets, sometimes a little mushy. Breaking both outside & inside. Checked Pacheco, but looked smaller & messier.

Got in with Josh N & Dan H at Sloat. Walked south a bit to counteract the obvious N current. Drew paddled out a little later & joined us. Pretty fun session. For me it was a little 'right time / right place', but I scored some fun waves & just generally enjoyed myself. Took out the 6'4 step up, which seemed to be the right board for me. Definitely did not need the semi-gun, but possibly could have used a board with more foam. Some longboarders were killing it at the end, and Drew did well on his pod. He was also hanging out a bit more on the inside & seemed to find the 'magic spot', catching wave after wave.

Saw Josh N catch some killer waves & unfortunately dropped in on him once too.

When getting out of the water was hit by how beautiful a day it was. Glassy, clean, some size with peaks breaking all around Sloat. Josh T said that Noriega Rivera was 'bombtastic', which sounds pretty fun to me.

All around a great day. Wonder what lies ahead. Looks a little smaller & marginal, but the forecasts have not been very good recently, so we shall see.

Fun first surf with Dan after trying to hook it up for a while.

Sloat 11/12

Sunrise had outside peaks breaking hard and hollow in the slightly OH range with the majority being a little on the mushy side, but super clean and workable. As the tide filled in they would peak and bowl across the outside then back off all the way through. Inside started to work as the tide continued to fill. Many fun waves to be had & at 2:30pm it's probably really good right now.
